This page exists so that nobody has to argue later about what was agreed. Nothing here is hidden or dressed up.

How a contract is formed
This website is not a shop. You cannot order or pay here. The figures in the price list are price information, not a binding offer.
- You describe the job. I send a quote with the price, the timeline and what the price covers.
- A quote is valid for 14 days unless the quote says otherwise.
- The contract is formed when you confirm the quote in writing and the 80% prepayment has arrived. No work starts and no calendar slot is held before that.
- The remaining 20% is due on handover. 4V3D does not invoice after the fact.
Prices and payment
- Price list figures exclude VAT. 24% VAT is added to every order.
- The price in the quote applies, not the website price at the moment you confirm.
- Postage is not included. Pickup in Tallinn is possible by prior arrangement.
- If the scope changes at your request after confirmation, the price changes with it — you are told before, not on the invoice.
- Late payment interest is 0.05% per day on the outstanding amount.
If you abandon the job after production has started and you have no right of withdrawal, the prepayment is retained to the extent of work done and material consumed. The rest is refunded.
Right of withdrawal
A private customer has a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract (Law of Obligations Act, VÕS § 56 (1)). It does not extend to legal persons, sole traders, or a natural person ordering for the purposes of their trade or profession (VÕS § 1 (5)).
When there is no right of withdrawal
Most 4V3D work is made for one specific customer and carries no right of withdrawal. This is not a 4V3D house rule or a choice — it is a statutory exception.
- Goods made to the customer's stated specifications or to their individual needs — VÕS § 53 (4) 2) and 3); for off-premises contracts § 47 (3) 3). This covers comfort insoles, 3D portraits and figures, reproduced spare parts, scale models, awards and keepsakes, and anything printed from your scan, your measurements or your file.
- A service whose performance began with your express prior consent and which 4V3D has fully performed — VÕS § 53 (4) 1). That consent, and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal, is obtained in writing when you confirm the quote.
- Digital content not supplied on a tangible medium — 3D files, CAD models, the finished tour link — on the same conditions, VÕS § 53 (4) 7¹).
- Sealed goods unsuitable for return for reasons of hygiene once the seal is broken after delivery — VÕS § 53 (4) 4¹). Insoles ship sealed.
In short: "I changed my mind" does not create a refund right for something made to your own shape that cannot be sold to anyone else. "You made it wrong" is a different matter and is dealt with next.
If the work is defective
This is not limited and cannot be signed away.
- A private customer may bring a claim within two years of handover — VÕS § 218 (2) for goods, § 642 (2) for work.
- A defect must be reported within two months of discovering it — VÕS § 220 (1) and § 644 (1).
- For goods, a defect appearing in the first year is presumed to have existed at handover (VÕS § 218 (2²)). For work, that period is six months (VÕS § 642 (2)).
- The defect is repaired or the work redone. Where neither is reasonably possible, the money is refunded.
What is not a defect
The agreed result is what the quote says. The following are properties of the technology, not faults:
- Visible layer lines, support marks and surface texture on a printed item. Any specific surface finish is agreed before the work.
- Colour variation between batches and difference from what a screen showed.
- Dimensional deviation up to ±0.3 mm or ±0.3%, whichever is greater, unless a tighter tolerance was agreed in the quote.
- Material behaviour: plastic is plastic. Load, heat, UV and time affect it. If a part will carry load, say so before ordering so the material is chosen for it.
- Scanning limits: shiny, black, transparent and hairy surfaces do not scan accurately. Where an object is like that, the quote says so and the approach is agreed in advance.
- Likeness in a figure or portrait is subjective. A scan captures geometry, not interpretation.
- For a virtual tour, the condition of the property at the moment of scanning — a tour shows what was there, not what could have been.
Business customers
Consumer sale and consumer works contract provisions do not apply to a legal person. Liability for defects runs 12 months from handover, and a claim must be made within 14 days of discovering the defect. Everything else is agreed in the quote.
Timelines
A timeline in a quote is an estimate, conditional on your side — access, files, approvals, prepayment — arriving on time. It starts running when the prepayment lands.
4V3D is not liable for delay caused by things outside its control: equipment failure, material supply, weather, lack of access, third-party platform downtime. In that case a new date is agreed, or the order is cancelled and everything paid for work not done is refunded.
Files, models and rights
- You get the finished item and the files agreed in the quote, and may use them freely for your own purposes.
- Copyright in the CAD model, repaired geometry and working files created during the job stays with 4V3D unless the quote agrees a transfer. A full transfer of rights is a separate agreement at a separate price.
- 4V3D may use images and video of completed work as portfolio examples. If you do not want that, say so in writing before the work starts — it does not change the price.
- Your scan is not sold or passed to a third party.
By ordering you confirm that you have the right to have the object scanned and reproduced, and that doing so infringes nobody's copyright, patent, trademark or design right. 4V3D does not check this and cannot check it. If a third party brings a claim on that basis, it is yours to answer. 4V3D does not reproduce security features, weapon parts or items whose manufacture is prohibited, and may decline any order without giving a reason.
Virtual tour hosting
- The first year of hosting is included in the tour price. After that it is €89/year per property, invoiced before the new period starts. If the invoice is not paid, the tour is taken down.
- The tour sits on a third-party platform. 4V3D is not liable for that platform's downtime, changes or discontinuation.
- The hosting price applies to the current period. A platform price change may change it; you are told at least 60 days before the new period starts and you are free not to renew.
- 4V3D may end hosting at any time on 30 days' notice, refunding the paid but unused portion pro rata. Within those 30 days you can export the tour or move it elsewhere.
- A tour link is not forever and is not promised as forever. If a tour is commercially critical to you, agree a handover of the underlying files as well.
Drone work
- Flights happen only where flying is permitted. No flights in restricted airspace, near airports, or without the required authorisation — not even by agreement.
- You provide access to the site and, where needed, the landowner's consent.
- Weather decides. If a flight is cancelled for weather, a new date is agreed. On a third cancellation either side may cancel the order and the prepayment is refunded.
- If bystanders or a neighbour's yard end up in frame, the material is processed so they are not identifiable. Nobody's private property is filmed deliberately.
Foot scanning and comfort insoles
This is not a medical service. 4V3D is not a healthcare provider, does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and employs no clinicians. A comfort insole is a comfort and fit product.
If something is medically wrong with your foot — pain, deformity, anything diabetes-related, a post-injury condition — see a doctor or an orthopaedist. Nothing here substitutes for that, and no opinion is offered on whether anything is wrong with you.
Insoles are made from your scan and are a personalised product: no right of withdrawal applies. They also ship sealed for reasons of hygiene.
Personal data
The controller is 4V3D OÜ, [email protected].
- From the contact form: your name, email address and whatever you write. Basis: steps prior to entering a contract, and legitimate interest in answering an enquiry. Web3Forms is used to transmit the form technically.
- In fulfilling an order: contact details, order content and invoicing data. Basis: the contract and statutory accounting obligations.
- Scans: a space scan may include the interior of your home or business premises; a scan of a person, foot or face is personal data. These are processed only to fulfil the order.
- Scanning a minor requires the consent of a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian must be present during the scan.
- Data is not sold or traded, and is not passed to any third party except where the law requires it.
Working files and scans are kept on 4V3D's own equipment on a private network that is not reachable from the public internet, and are not uploaded to public cloud services. The retention period is agreed when the order is placed. If you want the files deleted after handover, say so and they are deleted.
You have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to processing. Write to [email protected]. If the answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).
This website uses no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is the colour theme you picked. There are no consent banners because none are needed.
Liability
4V3D's liability for any one order is limited to the amount paid for that order. There is no liability for lost profit, indirect loss, or what happens to a printed item after handover where that does not follow from a defect in the work.
Printed items are not intended for use where failure would endanger health or life — load-bearing structures, vehicle safety equipment, medical devices or aviation. Using them there is at your own risk.
Nothing in this section limits liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury, or to any extent that the law does not permit to be limited against a consumer.
Complaints and disputes
- Write to [email protected] first. A written complaint gets a written answer within 15 days (Consumer Protection Act, TKS § 24 (5)).
- If no answer arrives in that time, the complaint counts as rejected (TKS § 24 (8)).
- A private customer may then go to the Consumer Disputes Committee. The Committee will only take a case once you have first complained to 4V3D (TKS § 47 (1) 1)).

Estonian law applies. Disputes with a business customer are settled in Harju County Court. For a private customer, jurisdiction follows the law.
